(v.5) * God desires that His children should possess agapeo, the kind of His own Love, but because of the fallen human nature, this is difficult. Hence, He sent His Son to solve the problem of Sin (1:12; Jn 3:3-5; 1Jn 3:1) * Being born again makes us partakers in His divine Nature, so that we may be capable of Loving as He Love, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust (2 Pet.1:4) * Jesus love us so that we can be true ambassadors (2Cor.5:18ff) and be as He is in this world (1John 4:17).
