GOD'S EXPECTATION WHEN WE FACE TESTS AND TRIALS AS A CHRISTIAN (James 1:2-8)

#Introduction
Have you ever asked this question, why must i go through tests and trials as a Christian? Why does God allow trials to take place? What should a Christian do when faced with disappointment, disaster and despair when scripture teaches us that "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them, who are called according to His purpose (Roman 8:28)?
#Why God allows trials and test
1. God loves you.
2. God wants our complete attention.
3. To humble us - 2 Cor. 12:7, Prov. 18:12
4. For discipline - Heb. 12:5-11, Prov. 3:11-12
5. To depend more on Him - 2 Cor. 12:9-10
6. To protect you from a bigger problem that you don't see coming - Ps. 121:5-8
7. Sharing in God's suffering - 1 Pet. 4:12-16

9. It helps us to develop character - Rom. 5:3-6
10. It help build our faith in the Lord - James 1:2-6, Ps. 73:25-28
11. To remind us that it is God who is always in control - Luke 8:22-25
12. Trials increase our knowledge and they help us learn God's word - Ps. 119:71-77
13. Trials teach us to be more thankful - I Thess. 5:16-18, Eph. 5:20
#Eight types of Test that every Christian will likely face
1. Fiery Trials - Intense encounters or struggles, bursts of anger, grief or lost.
2. Reproaches - Ridicule and rejection on account of faith or holiness.
3. Infirmities - Physical limitations and illness
4. Persecution - Harassment and Oppression due to religious conviction.
5. Necessities - Wear and Care of daily responsibility
6. Distresses - Disappointment and deep hurts
