DIABETES MELLITUS
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a
systemic disorder characterized by high level of glucose (sugar) in the blood
due to resistant, absolute or relative deficiency of insulin hormone. It is a
common disease worldwide, affecting male and female, young and old, black and
white, including pregnant women.
